Would you like to write a guest article for a Christian women’s blog?
It would be an honor to share your work! Before you submit an article, here are some things you should know.
Our Mission
Daily She Pursues exists to help women learn how to pursue the heart of God through studying scripture, practicing spiritual disciples, and prioritizing a daily walk with the Lord.
Our articles are encouraging, informative, and practical. We aim to point our readers to Christ and encourage them to view their daily lives through a biblical lens.
Guest Post Guidelines
Since Daily She Pursues is a blog for Christian women, each article should be written from a biblical perspective, addressing the everyday experiences of women through scripture.
Submission Content
We are looking for articles that cover spiritual formation (prayer, bible study, growing in Christ, etc), biblical studies (explaining themes, passages, questions about the bible), biblical encouragement (reflections, topical issues), practical theology, and Christian living (marriage, family, singleness, work).
Please ensure that any personal anecdotes, stories, or testimonies are used to support the topic of the article rather than being its main focus. Each article should contain practical takeaways or applications for the reader.
Daily She Pursues values orthodox Christianity. Your submission should be biblically sound and should adhere to the core beliefs of Christianity. Learn more about what we believe here.
While it is not required, we encourage you to do keyword and SEO research. Including relevant keywords allows us to better understand our audience’s needs. If you include keywords in your article, please note them somewhere within your submission.
Writing Style
Your introduction should capture the reader’s attention. It should also provide a “road map” of what the rest of the article will discuss.
Use clear and concise language to convey your message effectively. If you include a biblical or theological term in your article, be sure to explain its meaning.
Maintain a casual, sincere and informative tone throughout the article. We like to write as if we are sitting with a new friend over tea/coffee having a conversation about the bible.
Use inclusive language. Prioritize “we” over “me” and “you” when appropriate.
Capitalize proper names for God, but do not capitalize pronouns (he, him, his, you). Here’s why.
Submission Format
Blog submissions should be between 950-1200 words. Submissions should not have been previously published elsewhere.
Please review your submission for grammar and syntax errors before submitting. Ensure that your work has been thoroughly reviewed and is in its final stage before submitting.
Please format your article to include appropriate headings, subheadings and quotations to guide the reader through your article. (See any of our current articles for examples)
Be sure that your article is original, and that credit is given to all references or quotations used. References to Bible verses should come from the NIV, NLT, or ESV versions of the Bible.
Please do not re-publish your article in part or in whole on any other platform within 6 months of submission. After this period, you may publish the article elsewhere noting that it was originally published for Daily She Pursues.
Next Steps
Once your article is submitted, we will review it and will respond within two weeks. If you have not heard back within two weeks, unfortunately, we will not be able to publish your article at this time. Please feel free to submit other pieces in the future.
If your article is chosen for publication, we may ask for revisions if needed. Additionally, we reserve the right to edit your piece for grammar, syntax, and/or adjust the title or headings for SEO purposes. However, we will not make any major edits or revisions without your prior approval.
During this time, you will also be asked to submit a headshot, a short bio, and a link to your website.
Does all of this sound good? Then submit your article by emailing us at shante@dailyshepursues.com. Use the heading “DSP Article Submission + Title of Your Article + Your Name.” We will only be able to review submissions with the proper heading. Your article should be submitted in a Microsoft word or google docs document and not in the body of the email.
