Do you struggle to believe that God is still good despite the hard things you have experienced in life?
When we walk through difficult circumstances, it is natural to wonder where God is in the middle of it all.
Scripture teaches us that when we walk through hard things, the best response is to pause and remember God’s faithfulness. In the Bible, God often called his people to remember his goodness time and time again. While stuck in the wilderness, God called them to remember the Exodus and how he delivered them from Pharaoh, brought them through the Red Sea, and fought every one of their battles. They needed to build confidence and trust in God that he would deliver again and bring about hope for the future. They needed that hope to carry them through their present wilderness.
It’s the same for us: if we don’t stop to remember God’s goodness, we will be tethered to despair and we’ll forfeit the hope God wants to give us today.
That’s why we wrote Faithful: Recalling the Goodness of the Lord. It’s okay if right now you cannot recall his goodness on your own. This thirty day devotional will help you. You are invited into the real and honest testimonies of women from all walks of life. They share their experience with God’s faithfulness through hardship.
Each devotion includes Scripture, a thoughtful prayer, and journaling space with four reflection questions to help you process the information you have read.
You may work through the devotional on your own, with a friend, or with a group. Be sure that you are having conversations and spending time in prayer reflecting on each devotion.
Additionally, there is a helpful table of contents in case you want to revisit a specific devotion when transitioning into a new season of life.
